EFEKTIVITAS PENGGUNAAN MEDIA AUDIO VISUAL DALAM KOMUNIKASI INSTRUKSIONAL GURU DAN SISWA SMA DI MASA PANDEMI COVID-19 (STUDI PADA SISWA SMA METHODIST 2 PALEMBANG)
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the learning system which is usually held face-to-face in schools must be stopped and replaced with distance learning from their respective homes. In this distance learning period, Methodist 2 Palembang High School teachers use video as a medium of learning. The purpose of this study was to determine how effective the use of audio-visual media in teacher and student instructional communication during the Covid-19 pandemic was for Methodist 2 Palembang High School Students. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The theory used in this study is the Media Richness Theory proposed by Richard L. Daft and Robert H. Lengel in 1986. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 71 respondents to class XI and Class XII students of SMA Methodist 2 Palembang in the year Teaching 2021/2022. Data analysis was carried out by assigning a score to the answers from respondents using a Likert scale. Meanwhile, after looking for the averange value of the total score based on 4 dimensions, the final score was obtained at 281. It can be concluded that the Effectiveness of Using Audio Visual Media in Instructional Communication of Teachers and High School in the Covid-19 Pandemic Period (Study on High School Students Methodist 2 Palembang was declared effective.
