This research discusess effort to find the meaning of interpretative community-based of text media; a concept that emphasizes on collective interpretation through interpretive community and the influence of social action context in interpretive strategy. Using this interpretive community teory by Lindolf, the research choose the topic of the meaning dissociative identity disorder among a married woman. This qualitative research applied social constructionism paradigm as the method of data collection. Result show that there’s four meaning of dissociative identity disorder,among others a deliberately shaped personality, a deep traumatic feeling, repeatedly of a bad memory and one of the psychological illnesses. It also shows that online communites can replicate the offline interpretative strategy.
