Since the spread of the COVID-19 virus in early 2020, Almost every industry has seen a decrease, including halal tourism. Halal tourism refers to the provision of facilities for Muslims so that they can continue to worship in accordance with accepted principles. It will be required to make changes to travel protocols in order to continue to operate tourism in the face of the epidemic. The city of Palembang, as one of the development areas for halal tourism in Indonesia, must have an effective promotion strategy in place, with the Palembang City Tourism Office as the person in charge of the tourism sector, to ensure that halal tourist destinations, particularly Al-Munawar Village, are still known. Using Nurdin Hidayah's notion of promotion techniques in his book Pemasaran Destinasi Wisata (2019) this study examines how the Palembang City Tourism Office implements its promotion plan. This is a descriptive qualitative study using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies as data gathering approaches. According to the findings of the study, the objective of the promotion during this pandemic is to provide information about tourist sites in order to raise awareness of their promotional targets, particularly international tourists in Malaysia and Singapore. Moreover, during this pandemic, promotional activities are centered on digital media in order to compensate for decreased funds. Once a month, promotional activities are evaluated, sometimes using video conferencing applications. Keywords: Marketing Communication, Promotion, Halal Tourism, Covid-19 Pandemic.
