DAMPAK PANDEMI COVID-19 TERHADAP PENDAPATAN PETANI KARET DI DESA TANDING MARGA KECAMATAN PENUKAL UTARA KABUPATEN PENUKAL ABAB LEMATANG ILIR
Indonesia is one of the developing countries with the agricultural sector as the livelihood of the majority of the population. The agricultural sector is also a mainstay sector in national development. Rubber is one of the mainstay export commodities in Indonesia. This is because rubber plants are quite promising for state revenue. South Sumatra Province is one of the smallholder rubber plantation areas in Indonesia. This can be seen from the physical condition of South Sumatra Province which is very effective and profitable to be used as rubber plantation land.This study aims to (1) analyze the differences in the income of rubber farmers before and during the Covid-19 pandemic in Tanding Marga Village (2) to analyze the differences in farmer household consumption before and during the pandemic. This research was conducted in Tanding Marga Village, North Penukal District, Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir Regency. Data collection was carried out in March 2021. The method used in this study was a survey method. The data used in this study is the method of Simple Random Sampling (simple random method) with a sample of 41 rubber farmers from 474 total rubber farmers. The data processing method used in this study used a paired two-sample t-test. The results show that there is a difference in the income of rubber farmers before and during the Covid-19 pandemic up to 12.61% where during the Covid-19 pandemic their income decreased. Based on the results of the T test, it This means that there is a difference between income before the COVID-19 pandemic and during the Covid-19 pandemic. Income also affects consumption expenditures of farmer households, where there is a difference in consumption expenditure of farmer households before and during the Covid-19 pandemic of up to -14.76%. Based on the results of the T test, this means that there is a difference between farmer household consumption expenditures before the Covid-19 pandemic and during the COVID-19 pandemic
