PERAN KOMUNIKASI INTERPERSONAL ORANG TUA DENGAN ANAK DALAM MEMBANGUN MOTIVASI BELAJAR (STUDI PADA SMA NEGERI 4 PALEMBANG TAHUN 2020)
This research entitled "The Role of Parents and Children Interpersonal Communication in Building Learning Motivation (Study at SMA Negeri 4 Palembang in 2020).” The problem taken in this study is how the role of parent-child communication in building learning motivation. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of parent-child interpersonal communication in building learning motivation. This research is a qualitative research that describes descriptive data about the phenomenon under study. The data collection technique used was in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation which were then analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis methods. The results of this study indicate that the role of interpersonal communication by parents and children in building learning motivation is still not optimal. Often parents show less concern and concern for their children so that children are lazy to learn because of the lack of encouragement and enthusiasm given by the parents. Especially for parents who work since morning, there is less time at home and this makes children rarely attend online school because sometimes they wake up too late and no one is watching them.
