The study was titled "Celebrity News Writing Style on palembang.tribunnews.com Portal (Celebrity News Writing Style Analysis on "Most Popular News" Page October 17 – November 17, 2020). This study aims to find out if the style of writing online media news about selebrti which became the most popular news edition october 17 - November 17 as many as 7 news on the portal palembang.tribunnews.com has been considered ideal reviewed from the dimensions oftext formatting, text content, and the use of links so that it is interesting to read because of the high number of visitors. The theory used in this research is the style of news writing on online media Tips : Mindy McAdams in Asep Syamsul M. Romli’s book entitled Online Journalism and using qualitative research methods.The results of the study are from 7 news about celebrities analyzed there are still several indicators in each dimension that are not ideal in accordance with the management of the style of writing online media news that should be. As for many indicators are not ideal in every news that is pilahan writing (chunks),management ofthe title (heading), the creation of subtitles (subheading), the use ofsentence lists( lists ), brevity, sentence structure (santence structure), the use of active verbs (activeverbs), say what you mean and repetition of the meaning of the same information (redundancy).
