Background: Nephrotic syndrome is a kidney disorder that is often found in children. Children with nephrotic syndrome experience a condition where there is damage to the glomerulus resulting in a decrease in the filtration ability of the kidneys. This causes massive proteinuria and hypoalbuminemia in children. Under these conditions, edema may occur in pediatric patients with nephrotic syndrome. Purpose: Writing this scientific paper aims to describe the practice of nursing care in children with nephrotic syndrome and nursing management in accordance with the evidence base in the Selincah Room RSUP dr.Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Method: Case study with descriptive qualitative methods. Provision of nursing care based on Indonesian nursing standards (SDKI, SIKI, SLKI). Results: Based on the results of the case study, it was found that the three pediatric patients with nephrotic syndrome experienced the main nursing problem, namely hypervolemia associated with impaired regulatory mechanisms characterized by the child experiencing edema, oliguria, decreased protein and albumin. The intervention given in this case study is the collaboration of furosemide and albumi medication therapy and the application of hypervolemia management which has an effect on all managed patients in the form of decreasing the degree of edema and increasing urine output. Conclusion: Based on evidence-based nursing interventions that can be carried out on nursing problems for hypervolemia in children with nephrotic syndrome, collaboration is medication therapy and the application of hypervolemia management that is useful for treating edema in children. Keywords: nephrotic syndrome, edema, hypervolemia, management of hypervolemia, medication therapy
