Background: Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is a type of leukemia that causes organomegaly and organ failure with the characteristics of proliferation and accumulation of pathological cells of the lymphopoietic system. Leukemia can harm all ages, although the most common occurrence is in children. Pain is the most common nursing problem in children with ALL. Objective: This paper aims to describe the implementation of nursing care practices for children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) based on evidence based learning. Methods: Qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach on three pediatric patients with ALL. Results: The three pediatric patients with ALL had complaints of pain, weakness, nausea and vomiting, fever, constipation, hyperthermia, and anxiety. The main nursing problem experienced by the three patients was chronic pain. In addition, children also experience fatigue, nausea, constipation, hyperthermia, and anxiety. Thus, the main intervention that can be given is to carry out pain management starting from observing the characteristics of pain, carrying out non-pharmacological therapeutic actions such as story telling and audio-visuals, educating patients and families about pain management independently and collaboratively administering analgesics. Conclusion: The use of story telling and audio-visual distraction techniques in non-pharmacological pain management can reduce pain and anxiety in children, thereby improving coping and quality of life in children and families suffering from ALL.
