This type of research is descriptive research with a mixed approach that aims to describe the learning independence of students at SMP Negeri 40 Palembang through blended learning based on the PMRI approach. This research was conducted, because self-regulated learning is important for students to have. In this study, a questionnaire before and after learning was conducted in the form of a student self-regulated learning questionnaire to know the category of student learning independence. The research subjects in this study were students of SMP Negeri 40 Palembang in class VII.11. The implementation procedure in this study consisted of three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the data analysis stage. Data collection techniques in this study were questionnaires, observations, and interviews. Questionnaire data were analyzed using a Likert scale, while observation and interview data would be analyzed qualitatively by describing the emergence of indikators of learning independence. The study results indicate that learning through blended learning based on the Indonesian Realistik Mathematics Education (PMRI) approach has contributed to the learning independence of students, with the average student being categorized as good.
