Advertising is a medium that convey messages fast and massively, so that it could influence the views and perspective of recipients of the messages. The issue of gender is one of the things that is often contained in advertising media, especially about the equality in gender roles of female and male. Therefore, this study aims to find out the meanings behind the message of the value of gender equality or feminism in Pond’s White Beauty #JanganRagu dan #LihatHasilnya ad in Youtube. This study uses the semiotic analysis of John Fiske, and the method of documentaton and literature study as data collection techniques. Pond’s represents how the ideology of feminism in the the advert, specifically the feminism is emphasized in stand point of a feminist. This Pond’s White Beauty #JanganRagu dan #LihatHasilnya ad is also a form of campaign for gender equality in roles between female and male through advertising media.
