This research is about the effectiveness of online learning during the Covid-19 period in perception of students at SMAN 08 Ogan Ilir. The purpose of this study was to describe the effectiveness of online learning during the Covid-19 period in the perceptions of students at SMAN 08 Ogan Ilir. The research method used in this research is descriptive. Data collection techniques used are interview and questionnaires. The data obtained were processed using descriptive statistics categorization. The results of the study obtained an overview of the effectiveness of online learning during the Covid-19 period in the perceptions of students at SMAN 08 Ogan Ilir in the sufficient category. Indicator of positive response to online learning components and activities obtained a percentage of (65%), while the indicator of facilities and infrastructure obtained a percentage of (64%), and time indicator obtained a percentage of (65%). The overall effectiveness of online learning during the Covid-19 period in the view of students at SMAN 08 Ogan Ilir obtained an average percentage of 65% which is categorized as quite effective. In this study it is hoped that school can fix deficiencies in the implementation of online learning so that the implementation of online learning can be more effective. And it is hoped that educators can pay attention on the quality of presentation and presentation techniques of learning materials and appropriate learning methods according to the circumstances and abilities of students so that the absorption of material by students is higher so that online learning can be more effective.
