ANALISA KEKUATAN BENDING ALUMINIUM TERHADAP VARIASI KAMPUH SAMBUNGAN LAS SMAW
The method used in this reseacrh is experimental. This aims to determine the effect of variations in weld joint seam in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) welding on the bending strength of 6063 aluminium plate. There are three specimens used in this study, each specimen was carried out with variations of seam, namely seam v, seam ½ v dan camph k. The result of this research is that the frist specimen with v seam welding obtained a result of 330 kgf. While the second specimen with ½ v welding got 305 kgf and the last specimen with k seam welding got 290 kgf. The largest bending strength is 330 kgf on the specimen which are welded using v joint welds, and the smallest bending strength are found in the k-joint welded joints. So the right and good seam to use the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) welding process on 4043 aluminium is v seam. Kata kunci: Aluminium 6063, Variations seam, SMAW, Bending strength
