Poverty is the inability of a person to meet his minimm basic needs. BUMDes is a village-owned enterprise established by economically managed village communities which is expected to solve the problem of poverty. The purposes of this study are (1) To describe how the condition of business and economic development of BUMDes Berkat Betua in Sakatiga Seberang village, (2) To describe what are the factors inhibiting the business and economic development of BUMDes Berkat Betua in Sakatiga Seberang village, (3) To formulate a strategy for developing the BUMDes Berkat Betua in order to solve poverty in Sakatiga Seberang Village.This research was conducted in Sakatiga Seberang village, Indralaya Subdistrict, Ogan Ilir Regency. The research location was chosen based on the consideration that in Sakatiga Seberang Village is one of the villages located in Ogan Ilir Regency that has BUMDes that still need to be developed again. Sampling based on stakeholders involved in the development of BUMDes such as BPD, BUMDes Governing Body, PKK Group, and Farmers Group. The factor that are inhibiting the business and economy of BUMDes Berkat Betua are the lack of skilled human resources and the lack of business innovation. The condition of BUMDes Berkat Betua is currently still concerning due to the lack of socialization and coaching to the general public around regarding the existence of BUMDes Berkat Betua and the pandemic caused the hampered of employee training activities, because of that BUMDes Berkat betua have not been able to operate normaly. BUMDes Berkat Betua manages the Vulcanized Motorcycle Tire business unit against the background that the majority of the villagers of Sakatiga Seberang who use motorcycle vehicles. SWOT analysis for BUMDes development strategy thanks to Betua in order to solve poverty in Sakatiga Seberang Village, Indralaya district, Ogan Ilir Regency is to use the Defensive strategy of WT (Weakness-Threatness).
