PERILAKU MAHASISWA PENGGUNA GOOGLE SEARCH UNTUK MENDAPATKAN INFORMASI AKADEMIK
This research is titled "The Students Behavior of Google Search Users to Get Academic Information (Study on Students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Sociology Department Sriwijaya University)." This research aims to determine students' behavior using Google Search to get academic information through various websites facilitated by Google and know what kind of information students are looking for. This research used the concept of behavioral information, according to Wilson's 2007. The methods used in this research are qualitative descriptive, data collection techniques using observations, interviews, and documentation. This research's number of informants includes 15 informants consisting of 12 primary informants and three supporting informants. The results of research on the student’s behavior of Google Search users to get academic information on students of the faculty of social and political sciences of sociology department sriwijaya university Palembang campus; there are websites that they often use such as Google Scholar, Google Classroom, Google Maps, Google Cendikia, Google Translate, Wikipedia, Blogspot, Campus Journal, E-learning, Kompas, Brainly, E-Journal, and others. Moreover, they are often looking for information about education, entertainment, health, lifestyle, fashion, culinary, hobbies, music, history, phenomena, news that is going viral, lectures, and the world of work. They use that to do tasks, make reports, search materials for percentages, exams, Etc. Keywords: Behavior, Google Search, Information
