PENDISIPLINAN SANTRI PUTRA PONDOK PESANTREN QODRATULLAH KABUPATEN BANYUASIN SUMATERA SELATAN
This study was conducted to determine the process of discipline and disciplinary barriers in male students of the Qodratullah Islamic Boarding School, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. In this research, the object of research is Islamic Boarding School Leaders, Ustadz, Ustadzah, Islamic boarding school leaders, and security guards. This study aims to determine the process of disciplining male students at the Qodratullah Islamic Boarding School, Banyuasin Regency as a place of education that combines formal and Islamic education systems. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with the main informant being the leader of the Islamic boarding school, Ustadz Diniyah, the Head of Madrasah Aliyah, Asrama Kasih, Santri, and Ustadzah. The supporting informants are the Qodratullah Islamic Boarding School Leader, and the Security Guard. Data collection techniques by conducting observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation to the main informants and supporting informants. This study uses the Panopticon Theory. The results of this study indicate that discipline in Islamic boarding schools is directly supervised by the head of the Islamic boarding school and ustadz to monitor students and assisted by CCTV to observe students from a central location. In this study, there are forms of discipline carried out by the Qodratullah Islamic Boarding School in the form of congregational prayers, reading of wirid, morning apples, forbidden to bring certain items, extra cottage activities, rest on time, meal breaks (ISHOMA). If a student is found to have violated the rules, then the student is subject to punishment, the punishment is divided into 3 parts, namely physical punishment, non-physical punishment, and the highest punishment. In addition, there are obstacles in carrying out discipline in the Qodratullah Islamic boarding school, namely the existence of inexperienced teaching staff such as alumni who directly serve and teach, ustadz who are not in accordance with the field they are in, the ratio of teachers 1: 34 students is not in accordance with service standards and culture 1: 22, and there are still students who violate the rules at the Qodratullah Islamic boarding school.
