Stunting is one of the nutritional problems facing Indonesia. Stunting is a chronic malnutrition condition in children that causes the child to be short compared to his age. This problem is crucial because it has an impact on the quality of human resources to come. The purpose of this research is to find out the factors that cause stunting in toddlers at Jambu Ilir Village and to know the countermeasures of stunting children at Jambu Ilir Village. The theory used is the Precede Proceed theory by Lawrence Green in Notoatmodjo, 2014. The method used in this research is a method with a qualitative descriptive type. The data collection techniques conducted in this research are observation, interview, and documentation. The results of this research, it is known that the factors that cause stunting in toddlers at Jambu Ilir Village using the preced-proceed theory by Lawrence Green include: 1) predisposing factors that lack knowledge of parents in practising good parenting patterns starting from period 1,000 First Day of Life until the child is five years old. 2) enabling factors that lack facilities and infrastructure in fulfilling healthy living behaviours and parents do not understand a healthy lifestyle. 3) The driving factor or booster is because some people in Jambu Ilir Village still use the river as MCK (public bathing, washing, and toilet facilities). Furthermore, there are two programs in the prevention of stunting children at Jambu Ilir Village, namely, toddlers posyandu and clean water access assistance programs, and healthy latrines access.
