PROGRAM PEMBINAAN UKM KERIPIK SINGKONG OLEH DINAS TENAGA KERJA DAN TRANSMIGRASI SEBAGAI USAHA PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT (Studi pada Kelompok PKK Dusun Purwodono Desa Batumarta II Kec. Lubuk Raja Kab. OKU Sumatera Selatan)
This study examines the "Small and Medium Enterprise Development Program of Cassava Chips by the Department of Manpower and Transmigration as a Community Empowerment Business". This study aims to identify and analyze the processes and constraints in empowering the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Program for cassava chips of the PKK group which was carried out in Purwodono Hamlet, Batumarta II Village, Kab. Ogan Komering Ulu Kec. Lubuk Raja. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection techniques that include observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The concept used in this research is the concept of community empowerment from Kartasasmita. The results of this study indicate that empowerment efforts through the cassava chips Small and Medium Enterprises development program carried out by the Manpower and Transmigration Office are by providing training and counseling on human resource development, conducting promotions, and providing assistance for production. Constraints in the empowerment program experienced by the Manpower and Transmigration Office are the lack of knowledge and experience of PKK members, rejection of outsiders or new things, low consistency and commitment of members. Meanwhile, the obstacles experienced by members of the PKK Group were the lack of discipline in the empowerment team from the Manpower and Transmigration Service which caused Small and Medium Enterprises of cassava chips to not develop and not run anymore.
