This research is entitled "Survival Strategy of the Sakai Tribe in Tasik Serai Village, Mandau Duri District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province". The purpose of this study was to determine the survival strategy of the Sakai Tribe in Tasik Serai Village. The theory used in this study is the concept of Corner's survival strategy where he explains that survival strategies are divided into two parts, namely doing various jobs and doing kinship systems, neighbors or bartering. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, the data sources used are primary data and secondary data. The technique of determining the informants in this study was purposive with 9 (nine) informants. The results of this study are about the survival strategy of the Sakai Tribe in Tasik Serai Village. The results of this study indicate that it is important for the Sakai Tribe to have a strategy to survive from the threat of their decreasing population and being far behind from developing life. The survival strategy used by the Sakai Tribe is doing various jobs such as fishing, working as farm laborers, smoking fish, looking for firewood, then carrying out a kinship system, neighbors or bartering such as inviting family members to work and doing reciprocal relationships.
