This study aims to determine the pattern of social interactions, prompted, and inhibitory factors of social interaction between non-permanent teachers and civil servant teachers at SMAN 1 Tanjung Raja. This study used qualitative descriptive research method with observation, in-depth interview, and documentation as data collection techniques. In this study, the role of researcher was participant observer. This study used social interaction theory by Gillin and Gillin. The results of this study showed that prompted forms of social interactions were the social contact and the communication. Seven prompted factors of social interaction were teamwork regardless of employment status, having family relationships, good friendship, patron-client relationship, residence equation, there were rewards or bonus, and being proffesional at work. While, inhibitory factors of social interaction were dissents and differences of salary received. Keywords: Social Interaction, Non-Permanent teacher, Civil Servant
