This research is about the phenomenon of the life of street children who work in the informal sector at market of 16 ilirPalembang. The method used in this research is qualitative research, which is a method that emphasizes the social reality that is built, where there is a relatively intensive social relationship between the researcher and what is being studied. The purpose of this study is to understand the life picture of street children, to understand the factors behind street children, to understand the impact of street children. The research method used is qualitative research which determines the informants purposively. The research strategy used in this research is phenomenology through observation, interviews and documentation. The main informants in this study were 10 informants consisting of 9 male informants and 1 female informants. The impact of street children who work in the informal sector at market of 16 ilir Palembang is divided into 2, namely: positive impacts and negative impacts. Keywords: Phenomenon of Life and Street Children.
