This study aims to determine the role of the PPPAPM service in preventing child violence in the city of Palembang. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Sampling using purposive sampling technique with 6 informants. Data collection techniques using documentation, interviews, and observation techniques. From the results of this study, it was found that the role of the PPPAPM Service in preventing Child Violence in the city of Palembang was running well and effectively. This can be proven in the role of the PPPAPM Office in preventing child violence, namely the government as a facilitator, namely as a provider of facilities that can support the prevention of child violence. The government as a regulator, namely the government, especially the PPPAPM service, makes a policy related to child protection. And the government as a catalyst, namely the government becomes a stimulant in eradicating or reducing cases of violence against children.
