The research is to know whether or not there is an influence of powtoon audiovisual learning media based on WhatsApp application on the skill of weriting Fantasy Story Text of class VII Students of SMP Negeri 1 Pametung Buay Pemuka Paliung. The methods of the research is experimental design method. Sample of this research is consist of 2 classes, Class VII .1 with a total of 35 Students as Experimental class and class VII.3 with a total 35 Students as control class. Data Collection technique used techniques test. Data Analysis technique used statisticals test formula, that is paired Sample t test with SPSS 23. The result of this research that have been carried out show that there is a difference of average score in control class and Experimental class. Average score of control class pre test is 55.91, then it increased by 17.75, so that be 73.66 in the posttest. Average score of Experimental class pretest is 65.97, then it increased by 18.37, so that be 84.34 in the post test. It shows that the increase of average score in Experimental class is greater than average score of control class. Then, on paired Sample t test that have been carried out is known two-sided significance level obtained is 0.000 which means p< 0.05, so that Hp is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be conclude that powtoon audiovisual media based on WhatsApp has influence on the skill of writing Fantasy Story Text of class VII Students of SMP Negeri 1 Pametung Basuki Buay Pemuka Paliung.
