PERBANDINGAN PENGGUNAAN ELEKTRODA E 6010 DENGAN E 6013 PADA PENGELASAN SMAW TERHADAP KEKUATAN TARIK BAJA KARBON RENDAH
This study aims to determine how much influence the type of electrode and the variation of welding current on the tensile strength of low carbon steel. The method used is an experiment with the aim of knowing the cause and effect based on the treatment given. This study uses SMAW welding with electrode types E6010 and E6013 with a diameter of 3.2mm, the current variation for welding uses a current of 60 amperes, 80 amperes, 100 amperes with a V seam type and the material to be welded is low carbon steel. Analysis of the data used is a comparative descriptive method. The results of the data analysis showed that based on the calculation of the tensile strength of each specimen there were differences in the type of electrode and the variation of the current applied to the tensile strength of carbon steel. Where the highest tensile strength value in welding using the E6013 electrode with a current of 100 amperes with a value of 36.07 kgf/mm2, while the lowest tensile strength value in welding using an E6010 electrode with a welding current of 60 amperes with a strength value of 12.16 kgf/mm2. keywords: Electrode, Current Strength, Tensile Test.
