ABSTRACT This research is based on observations and interviews conducted by researchers on September 9, 2019 in grade IV SD Negeri 129 Palembang, it was found that student learning outcomes are still relatively low. As many as 65% or 14 of the 22 students in class IV scored below the KKM, which is 60 judging from the recap of the students' scores in the previous theme. While the standard KKM value is 75. Some students still cannot understand the meaning of difficult words. The situation in the classroom became less conducive because some students did not seem to pay attention when the teacher delivered the subject matter, students preferred to do other things, daydreaming and chatting with their friends. Teachers still use teacher-centered learning methods so that the learning process is very monotonous, students tend to be passive, and less interested in teaching and learning activities.
