This research is entitled "Development of Chronological Thinking-Based Textbooks on the Materials of the Dutch Colonialism in the Netherlands in History Subject Class XI IPS 1 at Srijaya Negara Palembang High School". This research has been conducted and applied in class XI IPS 1 SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang. This research is a development research that uses the ADDIE model. As for the purpose of this research is to develop a text book that is valid and has an impact on effectiveness. The validity of the textbook was assessed by three experts, namely material experts, media experts, and linguists. The validity of the material is 4.33 in the very valid category, the media validity is 4.04 in the valid category, and the language validity is 4.60 in the very valid category. The potential effect of chronological thinking-based textbooks on the Dutch colonial material in Palembang is seen in the increase in learning outcomes before and after using textbooks at the field trial stage by 45% with an N-gain of 0.70. This shows that the chronological thinking-based textbook on the Dutch colonial material in Palembang is valid and effective.
