PENGARUH PROSES ANNEALING TERHADAP LAJU KOROSI PADA BAJA KARBON SEDANG DILINGKUNGAN KORISIF
Steel is a material that is widely used in the world's industry, steel will experience damage caused by the metal's reaction to the surrounding environment which is commonly called corrosion. Heat treatment is one method to improve metal quality. One of the heat treatment processes is annealing. in this study aims to determine the effect of the annealing process on the corrosion rate on several corrosive effects. The results of the study showed that the corrosion rate of untreated specimens in HCL solution was 0.031 mpy and in Nacl solution 0.005 mpy, holding time of 5 minutes in HCL solution of 0.028 mpy and in NaCL solution of 0.0048 mpy, eliminated in 10 minutes in HCL solution of 0.026 mpy. and in NaCl solution of 0.003 mpy, and removed for 15 minutes in HCL solution of 0.025 mpy and NaCl solution of 0.002 mpy.
