PENERAPAN METODE STORYTELLING BERBASIS VIDEO UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENYIMAK PESERTA DIDIK KELAS IV SUBTEMA 2 PEKERJAAN DI SEKITARKU DI SD NEGERI 001 PALEMBANG
This study aims to improve the listening skills of fourth grade students of SD Negeri 001 Palembang on Subtheme 2 Work Around Me by applying the video-based Storytelling method. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in 2 cycles with two meetings in each cycle. Each cycle includes four stages, namely, planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were class IVD, which consisted of 27 students consisting of 13 boys and 14 girls. The instrument used was a written test with 20 multiple choice questions and observation sheets for students. The results showed that there was an increase in students' listening skills in the first cycle with an average value of 65, while in the second cycle with an average value of 88,52, and the value of learning activity increased in the first cycle reaching a percentage of 67,59%, and in the second cycle the percentage reached 83,21%. Based on these data, it can be explained that the application of the video-based Storytelling method can improve the listening skills of fourth grade students in Sub-theme 2 Work Around Me at SD Negeri 001 Palembang.
