Research about “The Study of Medicine Plants Etnobotany of Rawas Ethnic in Muara Kulam Subdistrict Ulu Rawas District North Musi Rawas Regency of South Sumatera” had been done in may until july 2014. The aim of this research is to obtain the information about species of plants which is used by rawas ethnic as traditional medicine and known as the parts of plant that used as well as the processing of medicine the method of using this research is a descriptive survey metod with collecting datas used the snow ball sampling where the technique of selection informants based on the recommendation of key informant. The results showed that there are 100 species of plants are used in traditional medicine, the greatest number of family is poaceae (9 species) while the grealest number using is Curcuma domestica. 100 species obtained by 3 ways which are planted, wild growing and purchased. The greatest number of plants part using are leaves (58 species) while the few of it is flower (1 species). The greatest number of habitus are trees (35 species) while the few of it is bush (7 species). From the obtained results there are 121 medical ingredients in two ways the outside treatment and inside treatment and 7 kind of special plants wich is used by Rawas ethnic society in Muara Kulam subdistrict as medicine Gleichenia linearis, Mucuna biplicata, Vitex trifolia, Oroxylum indicum, Ficus racemosa, Dillenia indica, and Basetla rubra.
