FAKTOR-FAKTOR PENDORONG REAKTIVASI PERUNDINGAN INDONESIA-KOREA COMPREHENSIVE ECONOMIC PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT (IK-CEPA)
Indonesia-Korea Comprehensive Partnership Agreement (IK-CEPA) is a bilateral agreement between Indonesia and South Korea which is a comprehensive partnership in the fields of trade in goods and services, investment, provisions of origin of goods and economic cooperation. IK-CEPA was first implemented in 2012 but was stopped in 2014 due to a change of government in Indonesia and no agreement was reached from both parties, namely Indonesia and South Korea. However, after 5 years of suspension, in 2019 the IK-CEPA negotiations were reactivated. The purpose of this research is to identify what are the factors that encourage Indonesia to do IK-CEPA reactivation. This study was analyzed using the concept of the National Interest which focuses on economic interests which are influenced by 3 factors, namely System Centered, State Centered and Society Centered proposed by G John Ikenberry. The research method used in this research is, Qualitative-Descriptive. Sources of data collected by the author is secondary data. The results of the study show that the factors that encourage Indonesia to reactivate the IK-CEPA are, economic activities in investment are the main factors that are the government's target in the IK-CEPA negotiations. And these three factors influence each other with the same goal, namely to encourage South Korean investment into Indonesia.
