The discussion on this research is about ”The pattern of patron client relationship between dammar mata kucing farmers and middleman”. This research was carried out in Penengahan Karya Penggawa Pesisir Barat Lampung. Collected Primary data and secondary data that used in this research is from observation, interview, and documentation. The data obtained were analysed using qualitative descriptive method. The research uses a concept of patron-client relationship by James Scott. There are three types of informant in this research, key informant, main informant, and supporting informant. The result of this research showed this relationship occurred due to mutual trust. There has never been a specific agreement between farmers and middlemen in order to help each other. Provided assistance from middlemen not only a loan of money, but there also other. Social and economic life of farmers in this village is relatively low, it is seen from a low level of education, uncertain income and a very simple residential home.
