STRATEGI KOMUNIKASI KOMISI PEMILIHAN UMUM (KPU) KABUPATEN OGAN KOMERING ULU (OKU) DALAM SOSIALISASI PILKADA SERENTAK TAHUN 2020 DI MASA PANDEMI COVID-19
The implementation of the Regional Election in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic situation has implications for the continued implementation of a communication strategy program to disseminate information to the OKU Regency KPU. The socialization carried out was aimed at disseminating information about the stages of the regional elections, increasing public participation in elections, and ensuring that the elections carried out were activities that were safe from the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The purpose of this study was to find out how to evaluate the communication strategy of the OKU Regency KPU in the socialization of the 2020 simultaneous elections during the covid-19 pandemic. Data collection techniques were carried out by in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Using the PII (Preparations, Implementations, and Impact) model of public relations evaluation theory proposed by Cutlip, Broom, and Center, it was found that in the preparations stage, the planning concept was suitable and carried out optimally. In the implementation stage, there are obstacles in the form of a lack of human resources and control over message distribution.
