This research entitled "Effectiveness of Interpersonal Communication in Online Learning Methods in the Covid-19 Era Between Teachers and Students (Studies on Mathematics Subject Specialization Class 12 Scicnce I in Senior High School Numer 5 in Palembang". This study aims to determine how effective interpersonal communication is in online learning process in the covid-19 cra in specialization mathematics subject that accouri at SMA Negeri 5 Palembang. This rescarch use that interpersonal communication's theory propsed by 1. A. Devito i Suranto Aw. 2011 83-89) The data obtained in this study were through in- depth interviews and obsernations witj one specialization mathematics 's teacher and three students of grade 12 science I SMA Negeri 5 Palembang. The results of this study indicate that teachers and students of grade 12 science I SMA Negeri 5 Palembang have implemented live dimensions of interpersonal communication's theory namely openness, emphaty. supportness, positiveness, and also equality. Of this five dimensions mentioned, the authors found that the five dimensions have been going well in the learning process from the covid-19 era that occurred in class 12 IPA I SMA Negeri 5 Palembang.
