PEMANFAATAN LIMBAH INDUSTRI KELAPA SAWIT SEBAGAI WAFER RUMINANSIA
This research was held to improve palm industry by products as cattle feed waffer. It was done from April to May 2009 in Animal Feed and Nutrition Laboratory of Animal Feed and Nutrition Department of Agriculture Faculty, University of Sriwijaya. Waffer were composed from stem and midrib of palm, palm leaves, palm kemel cake, sludge and mollases and formulated according to NRC (1996). They were formed as waffer using waffer press machine ♦ Waffer physical quality were determined thru its durability (%), bulk density, density, storing time (week) and aroma. The result shows that wafer has durability value 100%, highest density were 0.048 on formulation 3, highest bulk density 0.0028 and storing time were good according to 4 weeks storage and has no fungi spoilage
