PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN TAWAS DAN PROSES FILTRASI TERHADAP KUALITAS AIR PADA SISTEM PENGOLAHAN AIR DI DESA SUMBER REJO
The inflluence of addition alum and filtration processes on water quality in water treatment Systems in the Desa Sumber Rejo has been researched. Quality parameters measured were pH, conductivity and TDS (total dissolved substance). The variables of this study was the addition of alum concentration (40 ppm, 80 ppm, 120 ppm, 160 ppm, 200 ppm) and variations in measurements every 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 minutes. Further samples were treated using silica sand filters, carbon, resin and mikrofilter. The results showed that water quality parameters Processing results are qualified drinking water quality Standard. Optimum contact time is at minute 15 and the optimum alum concentration of 40 ppm. Filtration process condition of the initial sample water with pH 4.3 Conductivity 486 pS / cm and TDS 400 ppm, after the filtration process the water samples indicate the condition of pH 7.2, conductivity 91 pS / cm and TDS 20 ppm with the effectiveness of filtration on water quality sampling occurs in silica sand filter and activated carbon.
