The research discusses "The Role of the Community in Developing Pelancu Tourism (Study of Ulak Pandan Village, West Merapi District, Lahat Regency)". The problem taken in this research is how the role of the community in Ulak Pandan Village is in developing Pelancu Tourism and what the inhibiting factors are for the community in developing Pelancu natural tourism objects in Ulak Pandan Village. This research is a qualitative research, data collection techniques are carried out by means of observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The results of this study are the form of the community's role in developing Pelancu tourism, there are three forms, namely in the form of ideas or ideas on the development of Pelancu tourism, especially in planning the development of Pelancu tourism objects. Second, the community plays a role in providing energy, the role of energy and physical is an active role by the community. Third, the community plays a role in promoting Pelancu's natural attractions through social media. The inhibiting factor for the community in developing the Pelancu tourist attraction in Ulak Pandan Village is that the socialization by the Kadus, RT and Pemdes has not been optimal at the initial stage of development. The busyness of every society is different. Lack of public awareness of the development planning and development of the Pelancu natural tourism object, the tourist village, some people do not really understand the Pelancu natural tourism object.
