SINTESIS KOMPOSIT NiFe2O4/SiO2/TiO2 dan APLIKASI TERHADAP DEGRADASI FOTOKATALITIK ZAT WARNA CONGO RED
Synthesis of NiFe2O4/SiO2/TiO2 composites for the photocatalytic degradation of congo red dyes had been done. The application of NiFe2O4/SiO2/TiO2 synthesis was used to degrade Congo Red dyes by UV light. The result of Characterization using XRD, NiFe2O4/SiO2/TiO2 composite showed a sharp peak intensity at 2 = 35.74°and had a crystal size of 55.93 nm. The SEM-EDS result showed that the surface of composite is porous and has irregular shapes with the composition element of Ni (3.28%), Fe (5.97%), Si (3.66%), O (44.65%), and Ti (1.77%). The result of VSM obtained the magnetization saturation value of composite NiFe2O4/SiO2/TiO2 was 18.21 emu/g. The UV-DRS result showed band gap value of composite NiFe2O4/SiO2/TiO2 was 1.7 eV. NiFe2O4/SiO2/TiO2 have a pHpzc value at 8. The TLC result showed the occurrence of the photocatalytic degradation process of the congo red with a value of Rf = 0.64. The best condition of the NiFe2O4 / SiO2 / TiO2 composites to degrade congo red at various concentrations was at a concentration of 25 mg / L with a degradation effectiveness of 66%. The best condition at the time of irradiation is at 5 hours with a degradation effectiveness of 51%. The variation of pH congo red produces best conditions at pH 5 with a degradation effectiveness of 63%
