WACANA PARENTING DI MEDIA SOSIAL(ANALISIS WACANA KRITIS MODEL TEUN A. VAN DIJK PADA YOUTUBE PRO-U CHANNEL
This research analyzes parenting discourse on social media with the object of study on Youtube Pro-U Channel. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative research method. Analysis of critical discourse by Teun A. van Dijk was used in this research, including text dimensions, social cognition, and social context. Data collection is obtained through direct observation on Youtube Pro-U Channel's parenting content and conducting interviews with supporting informants to complement the information on parenting discourse by Pro-U Channel. The results showed that (1) The practice of parenting discourse is done through long-duration and short-duration video content. (2) In-text analysis, parenting discourse is used to plant faith, fitrah-based education discourse, and as a criticism room. Social cognition analysis consists of person scheme, self-scheme, role scheme, and event scheme. Based on the person scheme, the speaker sees events outside of himself to improve parenting. Self-schemes include knowledge, experience, and consideration of religious values. The Role Scheme describes the speaker's view of the parent's position who has power and the child's position as the heir to Islamic values. The scheme of events is a speaker's view of today's adolescent association as momentum to increase parental parenting knowledge. The analysis of social context shows that the growing parenting discourse is influenced by the environment around the speaker and the access and power that each individual has in the digital (virtual) and actual space.
