PRAKIRAAN DAERAH PENANGKAPAN IKAN DI RZWP-3-K PROVINSI KALIMANTAN BARAT MENGGUNAKAN CITRA SATELIT SNPP-VIIRS DAN SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS (SIG)
Kijing International Port is a national strategic project from the central government that is in the RZWP3K planning for West Kalimantan Province. The impact of this port development is felt by traditional fishermen, such as fishing ground areas that they used is shift or even disappear. This study aims to find alternative fishing ground using chlorophyll-a analysis and seasonal sea surface temperatures during 2016 – 2020. The method used in this study is remote sensing image analysis and geographic information system (GIS) from the Suomi NPPVIIRS (Visible/Infrared Imager and Radiometer Suite). The image of chlorophylla and sea surface temperature for the detection of the thermal front are used as parameters to determine the point of fishing areas. Determination of fishing grounds based on chlorophyll-a concentrations of 0.2 – 1 mg/m³ and a temperature gradient shift of 0.5 C as a thermal front detection. Chlorophyll-a in the waters of RZWP3K West Kalimantan ranged from 0.76 to 4.12 mg/m³ and sea surface temperatures ranged from 28.9 to 31.9 ˚C. The spatial distribution of fishing ground is found on the coast and the mouth of the Pontianak river which is outside the port area, so it can be used as an alternative fishing ground. The distribution of fishing ground mostly occurs in the transitional season 2 to the transitional season 1 which starts from October to April.
