The thesis entitled Legal Protection of the Inheritance of Adoptive Parents for Their Adopted Children in the Compilation Study of Islamic Law is based on the background that Islamic Law regulates general principles in addition to the detailed rules given by the sunnah as an interpretation of the Qur'an, by stipulating things as broad as -broad and open the door as wide as possible for the advancement of human civilization. The formulation of the problems raised in this study are as follows: 1. How is the legal protection of the inheritance of adoptive parents for their adopted children in the compilation of Islamic law?. 2. What is the pattern of distribution of rights to the inheritance of adoptive parents for their adopted children in the compilation of Islamic law? The research method used in this thesis is normative research that examines literature and legal materials with a statutory approach and uses a deductive method. In this thesis it can be concluded that 1. Legal protection of the inheritance of adoptive parents for their adopted children, namely the adopted child has the right to inherit or inherit the inheritance of his adoptive parents through mandatory wills in accordance with the Compilation of Islamic Law. Adopted children are not classified as heirs but are still entitled to the inheritance of their adoptive parents in accordance with Article 209 KHI. 2. The pattern of distribution of the rights to the inheritance of the adoptive parents for the adopted child is the distribution of inheritance or inheritance to the biological child or heirs first. To obtain inheritance rights for adopted children as stipulated in Article 175 KHI, that the distribution for adopted children does not exceed 1/3 of the inheritance of the adoptive parents.
