This thesis is entitled Empat Lawang Resort Police Efforts in Enforcing Laws Against Illegal Fishing. The problems in this research are; (1) What are the efforts of the Empat Lawang resort police in enforcing the law against illegal fishing? (2) What are the things that affect the success of the Empat Lawang resort police in enforcing the law against illegal fishing? This study uses an empirical research approach, a conceptual research approach and a statutory research approach. Law No. 2 of 2002 concerning the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia formulates that the main tasks of the National Police are as law enforcers, as protectors, as protectors and guides for the community, especially in the context of compliance and obedience to applicable laws. In enforcing the law there are several things that become indicators of the success of the police, namely; (1) The existence of regulations that become the legality of law enforcement, (2) the quality and quantity of law enforcement officers, (3) adequate facilities and facilities, and (4) increasing legal awareness and developing legal culture. The inhibiting factors for the police in enforcing the law are; (1) Limited police personnel, (2) Limited facilities and facilities available, (3) Limited operational costs, and (4) Natural factors. Regarding this matter, it is necessary to increase the efforts of the police in enforcing the law, so that it can be a guideline for other resort police and can be implemented as well as possible in the community.
