PEMETAAN SEBARAN KLOROFIL-A MENGGUNAKAN CITRA LANDSAT-8 OLI DAN SENTINEL-2A DI PERAIRAN MUARA SUNGAI BANYUASIN DAN MUARA SUNGAI MUSI, SUMATERA SELATAN
Banyuasin River Estuary and Musi River Estuary have enermous fisheries potential, but the management has not been carried out optimally. One of efforts to improve fisheries management can be done with an ecosystem approach which is the distribution of chlorophyll-a with an efficient method through remote sensing method. The purpose of this study was to determine the distribution of chlorophyll-a using Landsat-8 OLI and Sentinel-2A imagery, and the comparison of mapping result from both images, and to examine the distribution pattern of chlorophyll-a in the Banyuasin river estuary and Musi river estuary. This study was conducted using a field survey method in February 2021 and image data processing in March 2021. Image data processing was carried out using the Pentury’s (1997) and Kabbara et al.’s (2008) algorithm. The result of this study indicate that insitu’s data is 0,442-4,81 mg/m3 and the chlorophyll-a vulnerability in image processing is 0.028-9.862 mg/m3 which is included in oligotrophic category. The distribution pattern of chlorophyll-a in March 2021 tend to be high at the base of the estuary and lower towards the sea. The result of the accuracy test using Landsat-8 OLI images are higher than Sentinel-2A images.
