ANALISA DAYA REKAT LAPISAN COATING PADA BAJA ST 37 DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE CROSS CUT TAPE TEST
The method used in this research is experimental. This study aims to determine the results of the comparison of the adhesive strength of the coating layer on the ST 37 steel plate which was tested by the cross cut tape test method. There are three specimens of low carbon steel plate, each of which was given a different coating, namely powder coating, PU (Poly Urethane) epoxy paint, and NC (Nitro Cellulose) epoxy paint. The results of this study are for the powder coating layer, the average yield of the peeled layer is 6.67%, in the PU (Poly Urethane) epoxy coating the average adhesion strength of the peeled layer is 15,00%, and on the epoxy NC (Nitro Cellullose) layer, the average bond strength of the peeled layer was 55.00%. So for the coating method on the ST 37 steel plate, the maximum for the adhesion result is to use the powder coating method because it has the smallest value from the average comparison of each layer.
