SINTESIS NANOPARTIKEL PERAK (AgNPs) MENGGUNAKAN EKSTRAK KAYU BATANG KECAPI (Sandoricum koetjape) DAN UJI AKTIVITASNYA TERHADAP BAKTERI Escherichia coli DAN Staphylococcus aureus
Silver nanoparticles have been synthesized using the extract of stem kecapi as the reducing agent. Determination of the optimum conditions was carried out at variations in the extract volume, temperature, and concentration of AgNO3 using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The optimum conditions were obtained from variations in the extract volume, temperature, and AgNO3 concentration, respectively 12 mL, 600 C, and 5 mM. Further characterization using FTIR and XRD was carried out on silver nanoparticles. The FTIR spectrum shows the presence of an oxidation process due to the reduction of silver ions as evidenced by the loss of the C-O functional group at 1031.61 cm-1 to C=O at 1634.96 cm-1. XRD diffractogram data on silver nanoparticles with optimum conditions showed an angle value of 2θ at 38.180 (111), 44.470 (200), 64.580 (220), 77.510 (311) which is a typical 2θ angle of silver nanoparticles according to JCPDS data No. 04-0783 with a face-centered cubic (FCC) crystal structure. The particle size calculated from the Debye-Scherrer equation is 6.189 nm. Antibacterial activity test of silver nanoparticles from extract of stem kecapi using the disc diffusion method showed that the antibacterial activity of silver nanoparticles in Staphylococcus aureus was stronger than in Escherichia coli bacteria.
