The performance of potassium activator on hydrogen production from aluminium waste with NaOH catalyst using aluminium-water method has been succesfully done. The aims on this research to determine the performance of potassium activator in hydrogen production on several variables and effect of NaOH catalyst and determine the kinetics aspects of the production rate. Hydrogen production was utilized aluminium waste with particle size 60 mesh. Potassium activator was employed for hydrogen production, in respect to several variables i.e: water volume, activator mass, and temperature. Optimum condition on one gram aluminium with potassium activator achieved at 1.5 mL water, 7% w/w activator mass, and 75oC temperature. Production of hydrogen on optimum conditions using potassium activator produced 553 mL of hydrogen gas with production rate is 69 mL/menit. Production of hydrogen using NaOH 7 M catalyst produced 891 mL of hydrogen gas with production rate is 161.6 mL/menit.
