PENAMBATAN KARBON TUMBUHAN BAWAH DAN CADANGAN KARBON PADA TANAMAN KELAPA SAWIT UMUR 2 SAMPAI 5 TAHUN DI TANAH ULTISOL
The purpose of this study was to calculate the anchoring of under storey and litter carbon in oil palm plants aged 2 to 5 years and to calculate soi lcarbon stocks in oil palm plants aged 2 to 5 years. This research was carried out on the oil palm plantation area of a national private company in Nibung District, Musi Rawas Utara Regency, South Sumatra Province. Soil carbon analysis was carried out at the Laboratory of Chemistry and Soil Fertility, Land Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The time for conducting research began in July to August 2017. The methodused in this study was a survey method and the results were discussed descriptively, based on sampling in the field and analysis of samples in the Laboratory. The results showed that oil palm plasma plantations underund erstated carbon stock based on the age of oil palm plants sequentially at the age of 5 years 22.23 tons/ha CO2, 4 years 21.37 tons/ha CO2, 3 years 16.12 tons/ha CO2, 2 years 12.32 tons/ha CO2. Litter carbon reserves based on the age of oil palm plantsat 5 years old 26.18 tons/ha CO2, 4 years 16.62 tons/ha CO2,age 3 years 13.92 tons/ha CO2, and age 2 years 4.57 tons/ha CO2 and the results of the collection of soil carbon stocks show in creasing C by in creasing the age of oil palm plants. From this result the highest soil carbon reserve is owned by 5-year-old plant block swith an average of 5.12 tons C ha-1, and the mean estimation of the smallest soil carbon stock is found in oil palm plant blocks at the age of 2 year sat 3.97 tons C ha-1. Both have a value difference of 1.16 tons C ha-1.
