This study aims to determine the comparison of learning outcomes using practical learning methods with demonstrations of Engineering Drawing subjects for class xi at SMKN Sumsel Palembang. The research was conducted at SMKN Sumsel Palembang by comparing the two methods on the learning outcomes of technical drawing. The study was conducted in November 2021. The method used was a quasi-experimental research design with a two group type (pretest posttest design). Samples were taken by random sampling from 71 students divided into 2 classes, namely class A (practical method) and class B (demonstration method). The instrument used is a test, in the form of multiple choice questions and non-test in the form of interviews and observations. The test instrument data were analyzed by statistical tests in the form of a pretest and posttest comparison test. Both classes with normality test and homogeneity test, if they meet the requirements then in the hypothesis test. The results of the homogeneity test of the two classes of the pretest value, obtained 0.07, which means that the two classes are homogeneous. Normality test of the posttest value, obtained 0.107, and declared a normal distribution. Furthermore, the difference test of the two classes with the t test, obtained 0.035, it is stated that there is a difference in the grades of class A and class B. The results show differences in student learning outcomes between classes using practical learning methods and classes using demonstration methods. The practical learning method is better than the classroom using the demonstration learning method.
