Potato plant (Solanum tuberosum L.) is horticultural crops that produced tuber which cultivated on highland planted on Andosol. Using the limited land by efficient system planting potato in the polybag. The past study with given another treatments proved potato plant had the unreal effect, so that potato plant can be cultivated in the post-harvest soil. The application of cocopeat mulch to the postharvest soil improves the potato plant productivity. The purpose of this study is to learned the effect of post-harvest soil, cocopeat mulch and the interactions of both to reaction of soil (pH), P, K levels of soil and also the production of potato plant such as quantity of tuber and weight’s of tuber. The study was conducted on November 2020-February 2021 at Gunung Gendang Village, Pagar Alam City, Sumatera Selatan. This study used a factorial randomized block design method with the first treatment is the post-harvest soil from tomato, chili and carrot plants and the second treatment is cocopeat mulch (150, 250, 350) gram with the three times repetition. The result of this study indicate that the post-harvest soil had the very obvious effect to the soil reaction and P levels of soil also the others variable had relativity unreal effect but the used of carrot post-harvest soil relatively improves the height to production of potato. Whereas the cocopeat mulch had relativity unreal effect interactions to all of observed variables so the production of potatoes is not optimal also interaction of both had relatively unreal effect to all of observed variables. among tomato and chili post-harvest. Suggested to planting potato in the summer and with adding K fertilizer.
