PENGARUH BERBAGAI LIMBAH ORGANIK RUMAH TANGGA TERHADAP PRODUKSI DAN VIABILITAS KOKON CACING TANAH Pontoscolex corethrurus Fr.Mull
Household organic waste is usually simply disposed of and if there is no good handling on it, it can have a negative impact on the environment. Whereas organic waste such as chinese cabbage, banana peels, egg shells and coconut pulps still have high enough nutritional content value that can be used as feed material for earthworms (Pontoscolex corethrurus). This study was conducted to find out which feed is most effective in determining the production and viability of pontoscolex corethrurus earthworms cocoon. This research was conducted from November 2020 to February 2021. This study used a Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 5 repetitions. The data that has been obtained is analyzed using ANOVA and if there is significant differences then continued with DMRT test at a confidence level of 95% (α=0.05). The highest average value of cocoon production in chinese cabbage waste treatment was 14.4 ± 1.51 cocoons/pot/month and the lowest average was found in egg shell waste at 4.4 ± 0.89 cocoons/pot /month while in the highest average viability there is in the A1 treatment of 1.31 ± 0.15 and the lowest average is found in the treatment of A2 (banana skin waste) which is 1.01 ± 0.01
