POLA DEGRADASI SELULOSA RUMPUT RAWA PADA KERBAU RAWA PAMPANGAN SECARA IN SACCO
Pampangan Swamp Buffalo is a special plasma of South Sumatera which needs to be preserved one of the efforts to preserve it by ultilizing the forage sources available on swamps araound. This study aims was to evaluate cellulose degradation patterns on Bento Rayap Grass (Leersia Hexandra), Purun Tikus (Eleocharis dulcis) and Sendayan (Rhynchospora corymbosa) on Pampangan Swamp Buffalo by in sacco method. This research was conducted from February to June 2020 in the Laboratory of The Livestock Studies Program, Department of Technology and Livestock Industry, Faculty of Agriculture Sriwijaya University. This study used Complete Random Design (RAL) with 3 treatments (Bento Rayap, Purun Tikus and Sendayan) and 3 replications. Data measured with variant analysis (Anova) and Duncan test conducted with SPSS 16.0 application to evaluate the observed variable differences. Furthermore, the degradation curve used Microsoft Excel 2019. Based on the results of the study the fraction values a, b, c and incubation period of 48 hours of Cellulose degradation had varying values on each swamp forage. The results showed that the cellulose degradation patterns of the three grasses were different. The highest rate of degradation of easily soluble (a) fractional value was found on Bento Rayap grass (38%), the highest potentially degraded (b) fraction on Purun Tikus grass (31.75%) and (c) fraction degradation on Purun Tikus grass at 1.30%.Variations fraction values a, b, c and incubation period of 48 hours could be concluded that Purun Tikus grass has the highest cellulose degradation compared with Bento Rayap grass and Sendayan grass.
