PENGARUH VARIASI KOMPOSISI LIMBAH INDUSTRI KELAPA SAWIT TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN FEKUNDITAS LALAT TENTARA HITAM (Hermatia illucens L.)
The production of the oil palm industry has increased every year so that the resulting waste also increases. Increased production of oil palm processing can increase the waste produced because the more TBS is processed, the more volume is produced so that it can cause a negative impact because it contains the value of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) is quite high and emits an odor. sting. One of the ways to reduce oil palm industrial waste is to use H. illucens flies because it is one of the most potent organic waste bioconversion agents because H. illucens larvae have the ability to consume various organic waste media to become a source of nutrients for their growth. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 maintenance media with each treatment being repeated 10 times with observation variables measuring maggot growth, physical factors (temperature, pH and moisture content) and H. illucens fecundity. The results of the effect of fermented bran and the composition of the palm waste media on the composition of the oil palm on the maggot growth of H.illucens after Anova analysis had a significant and insignificant effect on the length, width and weight of the maggot. Meanwhile, the fecundity of H. illucens, after the Anova analysis, turned out to have a significant effect on egg production. The conclusion obtained from this study is that H. illucens maggot growth is the highest at 31 days of age found in P2, while low maggot growth is found at 10 days of age at P0 and the highest amount of egg production is at P1 = 0.63. grams while the lowest number of egg production is at P0 = 0.37 grams.
